Introducing HealthTasks Assessments

3 min read

HealthTasks Assessments are now part of Personalized Learning Plan generation. Each PLP arrives with a CJMM-aligned remediation quiz in the platform, plus progress tracking for each learner's competency gaps.

  1. From finding the gap to closing it
  2. Remediation questions that match the learner
  3. Close the loop in the platform
  4. Progress you can see over time
  5. Now part of PLP generation

Today, we are introducing HealthTasks Assessments.

Deans need more than a report showing where students have competency gaps. They need confidence that the program can respond, that students receive targeted support, and that remediation is actually closing those gaps.

Personalized Learning Plans already turn performance evidence into a clear picture of where each learner is strong and where they still have work to do. Assessments are now part of that same generation. When faculty generate a PLP, HealthTasks also creates CJMM-aligned remediation questions, personalized to the student's unique competency requirements, so the plan and the quiz arrive together.

From finding the gap to closing it

A PLP is useful when it names the problem with enough specificity to act. The usual next move is still slow. Faculty export the finding, build a custom quiz in the LMS, or send the student to a content provider and hope the item bank matches what the plan actually identified.

That extra hop costs time and breaks the evidence chain. The student is remediating somewhere else. The program cannot see whether the work closed the gap that the PLP found.

Assessments keep the work in HealthTasks:

  1. Faculty generate a Personalized Learning Plan from the student's clinical and academic evidence.
  2. The same generation produces a CJMM-aligned remediation quiz, scoped to that learner's requirements.
  3. The student completes the quiz in the platform.
  4. Faculty and the student can see progress over time.

The finding and the follow-through are created together and live in the same record.

Remediation questions that match the learner

Generic item banks are built for everyone. A Personalized Learning Plan is not. Because the assessment is generated with the plan, the questions follow the same competency picture rather than a one-size review packet.

That matters for programs aligning to the Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM). Remediation should ask students to recognize cues, analyze, prioritize, act, and evaluate outcomes in the areas where their evidence is weakest. It should not recycle a standard quiz that ignores what the plan already showed.

Faculty still own the standard. Assessments give them a way to assign targeted practice without writing a custom exam for every student who needs support.

Close the loop in the platform

The practical benefit is simple. Once HealthTasks has the remediation evidence, you do not have to leave the product to do something about it.

You do not export a gap list to the LMS to stand up a custom quiz. You do not send students to a content provider and reconcile scores later. The student takes the assessment where the plan already lives, and the result stays attached to that learner's competency record.

That is the difference between identifying a need and finishing the work.

Progress you can see over time

One quiz is a snapshot. Competency work is a trajectory.

Assessments track how each learner moves against the requirements that showed up in their plan. Faculty can see whether remediation is landing. Students can see that the next set of questions is connected to the gaps they are working on, not a generic review.

Over a term, that gives programs a clearer view of who is closing gaps and who still needs faculty attention, without assembling LMS exports and content-provider reports into a second spreadsheet.

Now part of PLP generation

Assessments are part of the Personalized Learning Plan workflow programs already use. Educators can still generate plans from the classroom dashboard, including in bulk, and publish support to students quickly.

For program leaders, the result is a clearer path from performance evidence to student support to measurable progress. Instead of only identifying who needs remediation, the program can see whether targeted support is helping close the gap.
