Clinical Log Documentation That Fits the Discipline
1 min read
Clinical log templates now support discipline-aware note formats, AI drafting and grading, and the option to turn notes off when an assignment doesn't need one.
Clinical encounters don't all call for the same kind of documentation. A nursing program may teach SOAP or SBAR; a nutrition program may use ADIME. Some encounters don't need a note at all, but clinical log templates previously always included one. HealthTasks now gives educators control over whether a note is required and which format students use.
Choose the note style that fits
Educators can require a note for every encounter and choose a format that fits their discipline and learning goals. Options include:
- SOAP
- SBAR
- Reflection
- ADIME
- DAR
- Other frameworks, such as BIRP, ADPIE, FDAR, and more
The AI draft generator follows the selected style, and the grading assistant evaluates the note against it. Students can document in the format their program teaches, using the drafting and grading workflows educators already know.
Match the student workflow to the assignment
Educators can also disable notes in a template. When they do, students won't see the note editor or AI draft helper for that assignment.
