Personalized Learning Plans
Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) summarize a student's strengths, gaps, and focus areas based on their classroom work. On eligible Vision and Intelligence plans, educators create PLPs and review their knowledge checks from Assignments. Students view published plans and complete attached quizzes from their student dashboard.
Create PLPs
- Open Assignments and select Create Assignment.
- Choose the Assessments tab.
- Select a classroom, then select one or more students. Create one PLP or generate plans for several students at once.
- Select the create button, which shows how many assessments will be created. Generation runs in the background, so you can leave the page while plans are created.
PLPs are not generated from the classroom dashboard or the student dashboard. Generation uses your institution's monthly AI usage allowance. See Billing for the AI Usage add-on.
Review and manage PLPs
Educators can track PLPs from Assignments → Assessments:
- Pending lists published assessments students have not completed.
- Finalized lists completed assessments with their scores.
- Select a row to open the plan and its quiz, when one is attached.
Educators can edit plan content, change its Draft or Published status, download it as a DOCX, or delete it. Students can view published plans; draft plans remain educator-only.
Student plan and quiz
Students open their Student Dashboard → Assessments, then select a plan to view it. The detail view has two tabs:
- Plan shows the personalized learning plan.
- Quiz shows the optional knowledge check when one is attached. It contains 10 questions mapped to the plan's remediation competencies and CJMM layers.
Students answer every question and select Submit assessment. After submission, the quiz shows the score and available answer explanations. If a quiz is not attached, the Quiz tab indicates that no knowledge check is available yet.
Troubleshooting
Assessments tab missing from Create Assignment
PLP assessment availability depends on the institution's plan. Contact an institution administrator if you expect to have access.
A student cannot see a plan
Only published plans are visible to students. An educator can open the plan from Assignments and change its status to Published.
No quiz is available
Knowledge checks are optional. If none is attached, the plan remains available without a quiz.
